Physical Therapy Techniques
Manual therapy (at our office usually called chiropractic), is not limited to chiropractic adjustments, mobilisations and manipulation. Our office has for over 50 years incorporated a number of adjunct therapies that fall under the umbrella of ‘physical therapies’. Most obviously remedial massage, prescription of exercise and Exercise Physiology are clear examples of overlap with physiotherapy.
Anthony O’Reilly as part of his long-term education and in particular in his study of Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation, has learnt many techniques and knowledge that originated and developed from physiotherapists around the world. This includes techniques such as McKenzie Method; Mulligan Techniques (Mobilisation with Movement); Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation; taping procedures; neural mobilisation; and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation to name a few. Anthony is not claiming to be a physiotherapist and is not registered as one. Our chiropractors have much more to offer for injuries and chronic disorders than you may think.
